LG's modules only replaced the bottom chin of the phone Motorola coupled an ultra-thin base phone design with a module design that covers the entire back surface of the phone, giving the modules much more space to work with. Since the modules just snap onto the back, swapping modules doesn't require a phone reboot, which makes the whole process faster and easier. Motorola's modular system feels wholly superior, though.
